Hey Scott I'm a 20 year old male and weigh 130 lbs at 6 foot and do little excessive . So my obvious main goal is to bulk up and get toned. Would u recommend the TX2 or the chiseled for my goal ? Thx!

Hey man. Just to give you my two cents, I would recommend either of the shows. They will both help you bulk up and tone if you add in the right diet (that is huge). I would recommend TX2 if you have little experience working out with the bands or just exercise in general and then when you get more advanced I would recommend Chiseled.

Just discovered this site today while looking for exercise bands to continue a strengthening program at home. I'm finishing up PT after having a microdiscectomy in December. As a result of the herniation, I have foot drop and looking for ways to strengthen my left leg. Would this program by too much to do?

This is actually a great place for someone new to fitness and bands to start. Once you have been doing this for a while and feel ready, feel free to join us on chiseled or any of the other shows we offer.

Scott, Saw my doctor today and mentioned and showed him the bulge and your recommendation to withhold on the abs exercises. He also recommended that I abstain from ab work. I mentioned in my bio that I had to quit basketball due to spinal degeneration which was causing me a lot of lower back discomfort. I would awaken at 4-5:00 AM a lot and couldn't go back to sleep because of the discomfort. TX2 has strengthened my back muscles and that discomfort is mostly alleviated now. I sleeping 7-8 hours a night now. Thanks.

Hello Scott, I have stumbled across this innovative website and would like to begin a routine to tone and bulk up. I have had some health issues lately and my diet has become quite restricted and therefore I have lost about 12 pounds...which for some people that would be great, however, I am a small framed women and I just am too thin right now and my muscle tone has all but left me! My question for you is "is this the best show for me?" The Pilates show looks good, but, I do not want to loose any more weight! Your advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Kathleen.. sorry for the delayed response!! For your specific needs, this show definitely sounds like the best show for you. The TX2 workouts are designed to build quality muscle and work on balance. There is some cardio, but it is not overly intense which should let you build up the muscle without losing any extra weight.. remember that muscle weighs more than fat so if you are a small framed person and you are looking to build up your muscles then this show is right for you! I would also reccomend Pilates because it's not geared toward cardio and weight loss, but more toward building muscle and gaining core strength.. I hope this helps.. let me know how your progress goes.

Hi Kathleen
I'm in the same boat as you - too thin and wanting to build some muscle mass - just wondering how you went in achieving this and any recommendations from your experience with the shows for me to bulk up my muscle size? Thanks
Jocelyn

Scott, Just started with Bodylastics in late July. I did EP 1 & 2 for two weeks and am completing EP 3 & 4 this week. I'm almost 70 and have a pretty weak core so have difficulty with the balancing exercises. I'm going to move slowly into the Ab exercises to build up some core. I had triple by-pass in 2002 and when I do crunch type exercise from lying down I have a muscle about the size of a small nerf football that just pops up. That might hinder my core. What do you think? (I'm not expecting medical advice.) I want to say how much I enjoy your program. On those days when I'm reluctant to get started all I have to do is hear your opening exhortations and I fire up. You do a great job-bad shoulder or not. I suppose it's better by now tho. Tom

Hey Tom!! Thank you so much for the kind words as they make my DAY!! I am so glad to hear that you are getting stronger and working on improving your core. I would like to address the muscle popping out of your core though. I am in nursing school right now and I have a BA in biology so i can somewhat help you in the medical category. It seems like the nerf size football you are describing to me is not a muscle at all, but could possibly be your intestines. This would be called a hernia and I would strongly recommend you seeing your physician to discuss this problem. I am surely not trying to diagnose your problem, but from the description that you provided me with it sure does sound like a hernia. I would refrain from doing any crunches until you see your physician. please keep me updated because i would like to hear what the problem is. I'm so glad to have people like you choosing fitness over laziness because you will surely inspire somebody to choose the same!! Keep up the good workout Mathew!!

Hi Scott You need a sweat band. I, like Tom, am almost 70 and when I look at the top display, all the teachers are fit and buff. I was not interested in looking further until Ashanti McKissic said to look at Tx2 and Pilates. Your exercises (1&2) are just what I need. My doorway is in a narrow hall so your exercises fit well in there. I am pleased the lady was willing to tell me where to go. bob

This seems to be a very good program and should be good for me. I am continually on the move in a motor home so I will have to hook the bodylastics over whatever I can find - trees and what have you but that will be okay. Makes life more interesting.

sure does make life more interesting Jim!! also i would suggest in checking out the anywhere anchor as this anchor could literally let you workout anywhere! This choice might make it easier for you to find places to hook your bands up and go to town!!

Most android versions can play the flash videos and should be able to provide the LiveExercise.com shows. Its actually going to depend on the Android you have. It will however play on the iPhone.

Hey Corey! good to have you here with the team... As for starting out, there is no such thing as starting too late!! you have made a great choice in working your body and you will benefit from these workouts almost instantly. My best advice would be to not get discouraged... starting out can be brutal because your muscles will get very sore and you might get the urge to give up, BUT DON'T!!! I can assure you that after 2-3 weeks of consistent training with about 4-5 TX2 shows a week, your body will start to feel stronger and your muscles will not be as sore the next day. at that point you will start to develop a craving for your workouts!! Stay the course and i can promise you that the changes you make to your body will have you feeling great and looking great! Keep me updated and most important HAVE FUN!!
