Just recieved my first set of bodylastics...very impressed...anyway, rather than just looking at them i want to get using them ASAP. I am 31 years old, 6'1" tall and 14st 11oz in weight so overweight!!! I am looking to start building muscle whiclst still losing fat and wondered what the best way to do that would be? I got the chiseled DVD with my set so guess i should just get straight into that however, having not exercised for a while, just wanted to check that would be ok to do. I am healthy enough...just dont know if i am strong enough????
Any suggestions would be great.

Many thanks

Tez

Hi everyone --

I just ordered an MMA set that should arrive on Thursday. It's way more resistance than I need or am ready for at this point, being new to bands and not particularly strong, but I was planning to get the Strong Man set as something to grow into and I needed the Anywhere Anchor, so I figured for the relatively modest price difference I might as well just go for it and then I can take some of the extra bands to the office with me.

I have been looking for an alternative to the gym for some time and I'm really hoping this is it! Aside from the money savings (which is no small thing), I just don't really have the time to get to the gym as much as I want and really am not into the whole scene in any event. I've been checking things here for a bit now and it seems like a very encouraging and positive group.

I'm going to be traveling for work next week, but am really hoping to get into a routine with the bands and starting to go through live exercise archives when I get back. Now I just have to decide where to begin ....

I have been using the bands for a couple of years now, and they have become a large part of my overall fitness training. My latest goal is to raise $2500 for cancer research by riding my bike from Vancouver,BC to Seattle, WA, and I hope all the 3 minute muscle, superset and tabata workouts have got my legs ready for the task!

To visit my blog please go to:

http://www.conquercancer.ca/site/TR/Events/Vancouver2012?px=1797867&pg=personal&fr_id=1413

Thanks again!

Jeff

I was looking at the bodylastics product site and saw they are greatly lowering the resistances on all the bands. Anyone know why? Would also be nice if they would at least put one heavy resistance band back like the orange ones. I have seen alot of people on this forum talking about using several orange for doing large muscle work. Can only put so many bands on the clip ring =)

Andrew

Hello All!
I'm a brand, spanking new member, just joined up today and did my first workout (Kenpo Kickboxing and I LOVED it!) I'm really excited about this site. My life is in transition, and I moved away from my gym and personal trainer who I've ben working with for over two years! I started out at 327 lbs (it's embarrassing, but true), and at my lightest in the last 2 years, I was at 238. Unfortunately, I've gained back a fair amount of weight, which is the exact opposite of what I want to do. Does this website have a goal tracker? I'm getting married in October, so I have a lot of motivation. I just need to kick my butt into gear!

I am definitely not going to complain about Chiseled Cardio since I like the series quite a bit, but I do get tired of having to run through the show twice (and sometimes having to add some HIIT) to get the calorie burn I need. I was wondering if there were any one-hour cardio shows in the mix that would burn 450-500 calories like dancing, Zumba, etc.

Lately I've just been wanting to get my groove on so I've been playing Just Dance on the Wii (I always burn 500 calories playing for an hour), but it would be nice to have an instructor-led class through LiveExercise to switch up the moves and music.
