I'm having trouble with the videos now that they have been switched to a new player. There is a screen at the beginning that asks you to accept the terms and conditions (which I do) and then I'm able to click on the play button. The Bodylastics ad and the Pilates screen scroll through, but then when the actual video starts, I can hear the sound but the picture is frozen. I tried several different archived Pilates workouts and it happened with all of them. I've done all the Pilates workouts once before and was able to watch them then with the old player. Help!!
please post here http://www.liveexercise.com/forum/video-issues-31/ In that post, I need to know what operating system you are using and how long you let the picture be frozen for. The video will detect your bandwidth and may have been switching streams or detecting your bandwidth. Due to the new system, it may take longer the first time.
I have had horrible posture all my life and suffer from lower and upper back pain occasionally. Is pilates a good place to start to correct this? If it is not, can you recommend a workout program to develop better posture? Thanks.
Wow, I came over here to see if there were any commentary on the various pilates workouts as to whether a workout was more upper body, or lower body etc, and was surprised to see the negative comments. Blake, I love that you guys bring us all these workout choices at NO cost to us. I try to support you guys by telling everyone I know about bodylastics bands and liveexercise.com, and I'm always game to try new products from you. Love the 2 new 10 min shows and I'm looking forward to trying yoga tomorrow (can't believe that I didn't see that one before.
Last February pilates went on "temporary hiatus" since then you've been insisting that you intend to bring it back you haven't. Why? If you aren't bringing it back then SAY SO, don't string your viewers along with empty promises. Very disappointing. Ban me if you want, I really don't care, but I can't keep silent any longer. I've waited a year to say this.
Hi Troy. Unfortunately, Pilates did not have a very large following. It comes down to economics. This site, as you remember is FREE. Is it in our best interest to continue to pay an instructor a small fortune for a show that many people are not watching, or does it makes sense to suspend it until we have a larger audience in general. I think that most members would appreciate the fact that we have 80 great Pilates shows available to view and follow any time. By the way we still pay for the bandwidth for the archived shows every time that someone views them. Once the community gets a little larger and are generating some revenue we will absolutely bring the show back. This site also offers over 1400 other shows to watch and follow as well. Those shows by the way are also 100% FREE. So, your comment about "disappointing" and "empty promises" has me scratching my head in confusion.
Wow, the nerve of some people, these programs are 100% free, in other words, cost you nothing, but still people think that Bodylastics owes them more. Tell you what, you pay to have these programs on and I'm sure Blake would have no problem keeping them on and making new ones. Bodylastics takes a big chance bringing these shows to the people at their cost not yours or mine. How many companies do you know that would even come close to doing this? Blake has never lied and does what he says he will do, it may take time, and he will do all he can to somehow make it happen. Some shows have come and gone, but new ones are always on the horizon. If you want to ask a question ask, and you will get an honest answer. Don't just throw garbage out there. We enjoy all who come to this program and for the most part enjoy what they post. You have the right to go and pay anywhere on the net at any workout program and get half the quality of what this sight gives to you 100% free. If you do not like it due to whatever the issue is then please just move on. Bodylastics is the greatest and what they do and provide just can not be beat no matter how you look at it. Facts are facts.
did my first liveexercise.com workout today, feeling great, i have been using my bodylastics for a while but had a baby 5 months ago and working out just was not on my mind, time to get back!!!! super excited about these online workouts /that my husband found this morning /
I love these Pilates shows! I've noticed a huge transformation in my core and posture. I hope we get some live shows back again soon! Thanks for all the amazing workouts on this site.
Hello! I find these videos to be boring. Don't mean to sound negative. However, though the instructions are great, there is just way too much of a lapse between each exercise and too much of talking. I love pilates, but this is a bit boring for me, and I don't feel as though I'm getting much of a work out from it either, even with the higher resistant bands. I'm sure that my comments may cause many to be irate, may come across as rude and disrespectful, but I ask that you take it as constructive criticism. I would like to see something that focuses more on flexibility as well if possible. That would be awesome. Nonetheless, great job and efforts put forth. Good day!
Hi. The great thing about this site is that there are tons of other shows to choose from. If all the shows on this site are not to your liking then this site is not for you, which is okay. The Pilates shows were led by professional instructors who lead the same type of workouts in professional studios. We also offer stretching in the new Yoga class.
Wow, call me ignorant, but these programs are 100% free, in other words, cost you nothing, but still the complaints keep rolling in. We enjoy all who come to this program and for the most part enjoy what they post, but for the very few who complain. If the your posting is to suggest improvements that is fine, but to be out right complaining is not tolerated here. Try and go to any other web site to workout and see if it is free. Just be glad it is free. If you do not like it due to whatever the issue is then please just move on. Bodylastics is the greatest and what they do and provide just can not be beat no matter how you look at it. I do not mean to sound negative, but facts are facts.
Hello Liveexercise members...I have a question. I have not exercised AT ALL in 4 months. Had to get an auto-immune disease under control as it was causing severe joint pain. Now all is good joint wise(except for the 25 lbs gained thanks to prednisone and no physical activity), just wondering which program I should start with? Let me also add that I am 48 yrs old and up until this set back was moderately active. Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Beverly! I think you'll find that liveexercise has something for all ability levels, so you'll find something to suit you as your progress and build back to where you want to be. My dad struggled for years with an auto-immune disease and prednisone did a number on him as well. I'm so happy to hear you've got it under control and are getting back into the swing of things!
I would suggest starting with this Pilates series; it's great for overall toning, stretching, and core work. There is also a new Yoga show too that's great for stretching. I'm not a big Yoga fan, but the I love the other shows that are by the same instructors, so I'm sure it's great if Yoga interests you! As for cardio, I'd recommend starting with the Toning show. I LOVE Chiseled Cardio and Kickboxing, but they are really intense, so you might want to wait awhile before you move onto them. Keep us posted on your progress!
PLEASE HELP! ! I really really need to download this. NO I won't unlegally share it, but because I don't have a portable pc I cant do the exercise videos. I really need help please! I cant see the screen and do the exercises at the same time.
I was so excited to discover that your site has pilates using bands. The archived programs are fantastic. Are they planning to hire a new instructor? I am disabled and I am always able to do some pilates because they are more gentle than traditional workouts and still very, very effective for getting into good condition. Regardless if a person is a beginner or advanced in their condition, pilates is awesome. It is amazing how a person can become so toned and feel so much better after performing pilates. I so hope that you will have a new instructor soon! Are they currently planning to hire someone soon? I will tell all my friends and my daughter about this amazing website. Thanks a lot.
We appreciate your enthusiasm as we look forward to bringing you more Pilates shows in the future. Until then, there are pleased to bring you these current fantastic archives with two great instructors.
I love these exercises for stretching as well. I'm hoping that Blake can find a pilates instructor that will be able stay for a long time, but, in the meantime, I plan to continue following Shannon's archived sessions.
