Finally got around to 87 yesterday, and it was killer. It seemed really simple, but by the time I was doing roll-ups, I felt like I was gone. Loved the reverse curl-squat-press move so much! The lunge-curl-press move, not so much. I switched to lunge rear pulls during the first set just because the original move was so awkward! Glad it was changed the second time around.
Thanks for such a great workout guys and for your continued dedication! I'm headed to the beach here in a few weeks and desperately need some butt kicking before then! Let's hit it hard!
feel free to always modify what feels awkward to you or go down in resistance. Every angle of every exercise will hit the fibers in a different way. Awesome!!!!
I did #87 on Monday morning and took Cristina's advise and on Wednesday morning added a third round of each series. There was just enough time during the demo of each series to do the extra round. The "extra" round really ramped up the intensity. Great job Cristina and Steve!
Just hit ep. 13 for my archived episode of the week. It was another KILLER -- especially for your quads and core! I love that no matter what episode I pick, I never doubt that it will be an amazing workout! Thanks for always rockin' it, Steve and Cristina!!
Hitting 87 Tuesday morning. Going to be doing this show Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Big test for me as I am not a morning person but I am going to fight through the desire to stay in bed that extra hour. I will keep you up-to-date on my progress.
Way to go for setting a goal, Greg! I work out SUPER early in morning; it was tough at first, but once it becomes a part of your routine, it's a lot easier! AND, you are really happy later in the evening when you've already gotten everything taken care of and out of the way.
Good morning LE family!!! Whats up with the sound today? Tablet, Laptop and desktop all on audio boost and still have a very very light whisper for sound. Can someone check on this!!! But, another great work out Steve and Critina, even though was just video and no audio missed all your jokes and laughing
LT, you can most certainly do Chiseled Cardio on "off" days from Chiseled resistance training. I do them at least twice per week. You can always reduce your resistance for the exercises that Steve incorporates using the bands. Regarding the intensity and your current limits, again you can simply dial it down a number of different ways (reduce reps, eliminate an entire set, etc.). For example, the last show had three different cycles, the last of which was a combination of wall ups and push ups, starting at 10 and going down to 1. That one was not for the faint of heart. One way to adjust that cycle and make it less intense would be to start at 5 instead of ten.
As your body and system strengthen, you can work your way up to doing an entire workout, while making any necessary minor adjustments as you listen to your body. Best wishes.
Thanks, Allen. I have been able to get through a couple of them, albeit not without a good bit of huffing and puffing . I guess I should just keep a watch on my heart rate and back off a little if it gets too high for too long.
Any suggestions to alternatives to wall ups? They seem to like them and I don't have a door or wall that I can do them on.
A couple of questions about following this show. I know this is primarily intended as a cardio show, but since it also incorporates resistance training is it appropriate to do this (or the Toning workout for that matter) when you are supposed to be resting muscles from a Chiseled or other weight workout?
Also, these tend to be pretty intense. I have followed a couple and always wonder if maybe I'm pushing myself a little too hard. Does it make sense to try something a little lighter cardio-wise for a while or just keep pushing and do what I can figuring my endurance will just keep getting better?
Me personally. Ive done it and its tough doin them on the same day. If u do, make sure u do chiseled cardio before chiseled. You mojo will be next to nothing for chiseled if u do cardio first. Just my thoughts
Just finished 86. Got my wife to do it with me (giggity). That last rotation got really nasty half-way through, but did not stop and did not go to knees on push ups. Still, it was absolutely brutal. Wall ups and push ups, what a great combo!
That's amazing that you didn't have to go to knees on the push ups!! My shoulders were screaming, so I had to mix a few rounds of knees in there. Awesome work!
Watched today's show. Will do it tomorrow. Rich, I could tell you were tired, but you powered through it regardless. Nice! That blast of wall ups/bear crawls/push ups looks nasty. Can't wait to try those.
U can not find better instructors then Steve and cristina. Very knowledgeable and laid back. I had a blast and have life long instructors (and friends ) weather in person or online. Great, great stuff
