I go by the name of Fatty 'R Buckle. It is a play on names, but in reality I am not THAT fat. I am a 5'9" tall male, and on February 1 weighed 195 pounds. "Stocky" you say? Yeah, in the mid section, but I have bird legs. So, let's just say that my tummy is at LEAST 36 inches (belly fat hanging over my belt)but my legs are that of a gazelle. My chest is normal, perhaps a little developed because of life-long lifting things correctly after a high school football spinal fusion. Alright. That is how I am made up. So, to begin things, I am going to tell you that I purchased Bodylastics basic set (2 handles, 2 anchors, the colors but no black or orange)for my GIRLFRIEND who has recently had 3-level cervical fusion with plates put in --- yeah, the Peyton Manning surgery but 3 levels, not the 1 level he had. Fast forward --- she has not used them, but I started to use them the first week of February. At the time, I was taking anti-depressants after having been diagnosed with Major Depression. I weighed 195 and, after purchasing some calipers to measure my body fat, my composition was somewhere between 40% and 45% body fat -- almost all around my mid-section. This is where my story begins and where I will pick up from next time I post. Today is March 18th. I weigh 179. I am no longer taking anti-depressants. My body fat is now at 20%. This blog is about how I have gotten to this point using Bodylastics resistance bands, getting serious about how I eat (don't kid yourself, I have been eating French food!), how I continue to enjoy my drinks, and where I intend to go next. Until next time.... Fatty

I know that you want to succeed with your body transformation, however, I will tell you right now that if you try to only eat brown rice, grilled chicken breast and egg whites - YOU WILL FAIL. You will eventually give in to your cravings and binge. If you are one of the lucky ones that can eat like that day in and day out I envy you. However, most of us are not.
There is a better solution - Moderation and substitution. For Example today I was going to have 2 servings of oatmeal at 100 calories each. HOWEVER, my body is definitely craving sweets. If I don't feed that desire I will feel deprived and could easily slip and blow it later.
Solution: I will substitute in a bag of pretzel M&Ms for one of the Oatmeal servings (150 calories and 5 grams of fat). Then I will of course mark down the fact that I ate these calories and adjust something later to compensate for the extra 50 calories.
Will my body treat the Oatmeal better than the M&Ms? Probably, but in the grand scheme of my day and the way my body looks, it should not REALLY make a difference at all. I don't care what anyone tells you, a calorie is a calorie. If you are tracking your calories and you have a daily deficit YOU WILL SHED THE FAT (even with the 150 calories of M&Ms).
Just remember to do this in moderation. Liveexercise is about a healthy lifestyle. You need to eat the nutrients that your body requires to stay healthy, fight infection and deal with the brutal workouts. Make sure that you get the great stuff in there as the majority of your fuel.
Try it!
